This is why I recommend a sandbox or VM for software that sketches you out, makes you feel unsafe or paranoid, or something that maybe sounds too good to be true, (use common sense of course). In other words, scan something and the results are it's entirely clean. The viruses are binded and crypted so that anti virus scanners will not immediately detect their signature and prevent the code from running. TIL there are groups (I heard Russian, but I'm sure there are other ethnic groups) that either run or backdoor warez sites with RAT infested malware controlled by the malware operator, and in turn the malware operator sells the buyer access to the RAT logs evidently. He has every single right to wonder about his own security honestly.
